In the 1970s, because Taipei metropolitan area expanded, people gradually moved to the suburbs.Taipei metropolitan area which is basin topography faced the problem of hillside-land development.However, when the lack of environmental awareness, and to quickly resolve the housing needs, copy the ground plan to the slopes. This area has not been the overall planning, community development and population has constantly shifted, and public facilities has not therefore increased, resulting in low quality of life, showing the problem caused by individual developers.

Today, large public facilities just completed soon, but these communities began to face the old and updates, as well as change the future population structure. Thereby re-examine the whole hillside development planning principles for living quality, sorting out the slope adaptation of patterns and establish new systems. Excellent targets for hillside development strategy and achieve a good quality of living.
